My client is looking for a systems engineer who specialises in the VMware ESX Server and Citrix xen Server technologies. The successful candidate person will work on the administration and enhancement of the VMware systems.
Technical focus for this role is:
VMware ESX Server
Citrix xen Server
The key responsibilities for the position are:
- Undertake planning for the installation of new products and equipment, and enhancement of existing products and equipment, in accordance with customer requirements.
- Ongoing support to ensure smooth and efficient customer operations maximising customer satisfaction.
- Produce accurate, concise and timely reports as required
- Supervise the activities of a small team as required
- Originate regular articles of interest in specialist area(s)
- Provide "on-the-job" training, guidance and assistance to less experienced Systems Engineers to ensure overall competence in the company continually improves
- May be required to provide regular input, review and update of material on the corporate internet
The successful candidate will have the following technical skills:
- Excellent technical experience with VMware, ESX Server and enterprise solutions across multiple large sites from design through to implementation, support and proposals
- A commitment to providing quality, scalable and robust technical solutions
- Passion, energy and excellent customer service skills
