NDT Technicians

Our client, a large advanced technology company is currently seeking experienced Non-Destructive Testing Technician\'s (NDT) to join their team.

Some of the responsibilities will include;
  • Operate Ultrasonic and X-ray Machines (Including but not limited to: AUSS (Automated Ultrasonic Scanning Systems), C-Scan Tank, Portable Ultrasonic Units, In Motion X-Ray Units
  • Responsible for the inspection/collection of quality data for the evaluation of product, including the interpretation of collected data to meet production requirements.
  • Daily management of NDT equipment, including periodic maintenance, calibration and notification of appropriate authorities when break downs occur.
  • Provide training and technical assistance by advising less experienced technicians in the interpretation of engineering and test data, the use of engineering design standards, manufacturing processes, and problem diagnosis; conducting on-the-job training; and overseeing functional testing.
  • Monitoring compliance to schedule requirements (as communicated by NDT Cell Leader ensuring that schedule commitments are met; and providing schedule to management.
  • Responsible for managing daily product flow through NDT, including the management of schedules and communication of daily production requirements / issues to following shifts.
Key Requirements
  • Radiation Safety License.
  • Ultrasonic and Radiographic Level II approvals.
  • Technical understanding of the bonding processes and the NDT issues surrounding them.
  • Knowledge and skills to draft a NDT technique from initial concept with guidance from the Level III personnel.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the requirements of associated documents/ specifications etc.
  • Ability to make informed decisions.
  • Computer Literacy.
  • Demonstrated, communication, decision-making, problem-solving, leadership, and administrative skills to complement a technical background.
  • Rotating Shifts as required.
