Electrical Project Engineer - Water Treatment

  • Major Water Treatment Upgrade
  • Water/Wastewater Treatment Experience
  • Sub-Contractor Management experience

A Major alliance project valued at $400million is underway which will include, supply pump station, ozone injection and ozone production buildings, biological media filters, UV system and constrution of two chlorine contact basins.
 
Based at site and reporting to the Delivery Manager will see the Electrical Engineer fully utilise your developed technical and interpersonal skills to provide the technical capability across this allianc focused on Water and Wastewater Treatment  projects to ensure best project approach. Some of the key responsibilities will include:
  • Management of multiple projects from a delivery perspective
  • Technical negotiations with sub-contractors
  • Management of sub-contractors
  • Planning and conducting engineering work 
  • Consult, recommend and advise on specialist engineering areas
  • Checking designs
  • Equipment specification, selection, procurement and installation.
To be successful in this outstanding opportunity, we are seeking a degree qualified Electrical Engineer with 10+ years experience in the following:
  • Significant industry experience and a proven track record in delivery within the modern water and wastewater treatment industries.
  • Previous sub-contractor management experience within project valued at $10-$20mil.
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary teams. A specialist Electrical Project Engineer with excellent working knowledge of the various disciplines required to deliver a treatment plant. (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Process and Control)
  • Sound technical skills in the specification, procurement, installation and commissioning of electrical equipment associated with water treatment projects.
  • A background from a Construct/Alliance project delivery.
  • Degree Qualified Electrical Engineer.
This is a two year project scheduled for completion 2012, but wth further work on their books, sees this opportunity as a long-term career option for the right individual.
